The Languedoc Roussillon area is currently one of the most popular parts of France for the British and Irish to buy property. It has been this way for quite a while now and shows no signs of changing.

You can even get the Eurostar from London to Avignon or Montpellier.
Add to this the proximity to the sea as well as easy access by car to both the ski slopes of the Pyrenees and the Alpes and you have what I consider to be one of the best places in France to live.
 The beaches are clean and sandy, the weather is outstanding throughout the year and you have some wonderful inland areas that will keep the historians and sport mad among you happy.
If you top all that off with the fine wine, fresh food and great cooking on offer then you can see why so many people have made a permanent move here and why so many already own their own Languedoc holiday home.
