The pretty village of Belarga is always a popular place to buy either a holiday home or a permanent one. Located about ten minutes drive from the town of Pezenas, on the banks of the river Herault, Belarga is very well situated for easy access to the A75 motorway, which links this part of the south of France with Paris and the north.

From the old village you can walk in a couple of
minutes to a river beach with good swimming for 3/4 months of the year - and
there are also the fishing/ canoeing options as well - all on your doorstep.

Approx 63% of Belarga property is classed as “Residence Principales” (Main homes), with the remaining 27% used as second homes. There are hardly any apartments in Belarga, only 6% in fact. The rest of the village is made up of houses. Of these houses, most are three beds or larger, with about 40% being four bedrooms or more. Interestingly, this 40% is larger than the national average in France of approx 32%.

Although Belarga is a very small village, it still has a bit of local commerce, including a café, restaurant and a grocers.

Having easy access to the A75 motorway means that you can be in the town of Beziers in around half an hour. The A75 also gives you a good link to the A9 motorway, which in turn can take you to one of the four main airports that serve the region. Carcassonne, Montpellier, Nimes and Perpignan. Montpellier is the nearest, and will take you about 45 minutes by car. The other three can be reached in about an hour and a half.
