Due for completion at the end of 2006 we came across this interesting investment/holiday home opportunity in Font Romeu.

This development consists of 115 apartments that come as either studios, one bedroom, two bedroom or three bedroom apartments. Prices range from as little as €74,460 and rise to €285,770 for the very best apartments in the complex.

In order to attract buyers the developer is offering a range of incentives and this includes the option to just hand over the property to then on a leaseback deal where they will pay you a 4% yield. Or if you would like to have use of the property from time to time they are prepared to leaseback the property for the empty periods and give a return of 2.5%.

The downside of this development is that the properties are only being sold with an 11 year and 9 month lease!

Font Romeu itself is a vibrant village which receives a healthy number of ski tourists in the winter months and ramblers over the peak summer months of July and August.
