The pretty village of Gabian, just outside Roujan, is home to some lovely village houses, very typical of this part of the Languedoc.

To give you an example of what you should expect for your money, village houses in Gabian will start from under 100,000 €.

Of course there are other types of property available in Gabian, such as newly built villas from just over 200,000 €, to large period houses with ten bedrooms needing lots of work. If you want property that’s slightly cheaper yet still within reach of Pezenas, then Gabian property could be of interest.

Gabian is a typical small French village, with a couple of local shops, a bar, and not much else. One bonus about Gabian is that the local bar also has a restaurant behind it. It’s not the most careful place you’re likely to find, but the food is great and the portions are generous. They only open at lunchtimes, when you can get a three course set menu lunch for 10€. Highly recommended. You can find it on the main road just next to the small open car park.

Gabian is on the D13, about 15 mins from Pezenas, or about 20 mins from Beziers.

Nearest airport is at Montpellier, which should take about an hour by car. From here you can get daily flights to and from the UK with British Airways and Ryanair.
