Property in Le Boulou - A Guide to Le BoulouLe Boulou is only 8kms from the Spanish border and is steeped in Catalan history. The property prices in Le Boulou are quite reasonable with prices starting at around €125,000 for a typical 2/3 bedroom fully renovated village house. Recently we have even seen a “change your life” house for sale in Le Boulou. On offer for €235,000 is a three storey village house that is a shop on the ground floor and has 5 bedroom owners accommodation above. We have also seen various village houses on the market for between €125,000 and €160,000 so if you are looking for an easy to buy and maintain this should be your target budget. Le Boulou has a population of around 6000 people and although it’s not huge it has an excellent choice of restaurants, shops and it even has its own casino. The Casino is a popular destination for many tourists staying in this part of the Languedoc and it is open everyday of the week. Sunday through to Thursday it is open 11am – 3pm. Friday through to Saturday it is open 11am – 4 am. The nearest beaches can be found at Argeles, Saint Cyprien and Collioure. All are around 8kms away and offer safe swimming and excellent beaches. As you are only 8kms from the Spanish border you can fly into any of three different airports. Perpignan Airport is the closest to Le Boulou and is about 20kms away. Girona Airport, which is one of Ryanair's main European hubs, is only 80 kms away and the huge airport at Barcelona is still within a reasonable 170 kms.
