There are many interesting walks nearby e.g. up to the old windmills or around the vineyards where you are able to see an abundance of wild flowers, birds, butterflies and wonderful scenery.
 
There is usually a Fête du Vin once a year but many local vignerons also host wine tastings. There are also seasonal festivals e.g. cherry, chestnut, garden.


Forty minutes away from the Mediterranean, nestling among the gentle valleys of the Espinouse and the Caroux foothills or perched above them, rising to 400m, seven villages and their hamlets form the Faugères “appellation”.  Faugères is an AOP in the Languedoc region of the South of France from this area’s only vineyard lying on a magnificent and homogeneous schist “terroir”. Its well preserved, wild and sparsely populated landscapes attract visitors keen on “green tourism”.  This region’s remarkable architectural and natural heritage is an open invitation to ramblers to discover its châteaux, mills, dry stone huts and walls where oak woods give way to rockrose blossom and hillside vineyard’ (Route Vigneronne).

Steeped in history, the medieval village of Faugères is picturesque with narrow winding streets. The house is built into the town walls of Faugères.  This was the site of a battle in 1622, when the troops of the Duc de Montmorency besieged the town and destroyed the Château of Faugères.
